SECTION 1
If you (or someone you are contacting us on behalf of) are currently unsheltered and need immediate assistance, we encourage you to contact Monroe County Department of Human Services (DHS) (https://www.cityofrochester.gov/homelessness/).
The City of Rochester website states:
"If you are in need of emergency shelter now, call the Monroe County Department of Human Services: (585) 753-2780 from 8AM to 3PM, Monday-Friday. After 3 PM and on Weekends/Holidays call (585) 442-1742.
YOUTHS and YOUNG ADULTS Call the Center for Youth 24-hour hotline: (585) 271-7670, or the national 24-hour crisis hotline: (888) 617-KIDS (5437), or email: info@centerforyouth.net.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE If you are in danger, call 911. If you need immediate assistance, call the Willow Domestic Violence Center 24-hour hotline: (585) 222-SAFE (7233), or email: Hotline@WillowCenterNY.org.
If you need information on available services or have questions, call 2-1-1/LifeLine (dial 211) and explain the situation. SECTION 2
If you, or someone you are communicating on behalf of, is technically homeless but currently sheltered (e.g., incarcerated, inpatient treatment, another community program, etc.), and are looking for a place to go upon release or discharge, and you are interested in transitional housing at SCPO, please call the numbers below.
When you speak to a staff member, a screening will be completed to see if we are able to meet your needs. If no one answers, please leave a voicemail, as program staff are often away from their desks; they will return your call.
